This course is designed to give the participant an overview of the problems associated with inhalant abuse. With this information, the law enforcement officer should be better equipped to recognize and interdict cases of inhalant abuse. In addition, participants should have a foundational awareness to assist in developing educational programs in the community.
This five-part course is designed to introduce tribal police officers to common issues in Indian Country and to the basic principles of community policing. The course introduces the social developmental skill building required for tribal communities to resist drug and alcohol use and abuse, and engage in proactive problem solving methodologies in accordance with Community Policing concepts, processes and techniques. This course also introduces tribal police officers to best practices for law enforcement.
Learners who complete every unit with a passing grade are eligible for 0.5 CEU from George Mason University. You may leave the course and resume where you left off at any time.
